Spine
preparation system:
The spine
preparation system consists of 5 variable
stations, each of which is equipped for spindle-drive
operated height adjustment. Direct manual control from the display
panel with a plain text display or central control via bind-com®
control software. The second station is equipped for reverse milling,
while the surface roughness can be
controlled by means of speed regulation at the third station.
The fourth station provides the feature of frequency-controlled
synchronised notching, independent from running speed. The fifth
station is equipped with a horizontal brushing tool. For thread-stitched
or sewn products all five stations can be lowered or raised to
the previous position after processing.
In addition to the five aforementioned options, further add on
processing equipment i.e. the Multiple knife head can be integrated
into the system. - top
Gluing
units:
The separate mobile hotmelt spine and
side gluing units with scraper
control can be individually adjusted to height and
inner block thickness. The patented,
integrated 70 kg premelter features a minimum
level indicator for the glue tank. A digital
display indicates all parameters of relevance for the
gluing units.

Gauzing
station:
The versatile gauzing station can be integrated without problems
into the Champion s. The speed optimized feed
system ensures exact laying of gauze stripes even at
high cycle frequencies. Side trimming
tools and head or foot markings are standard features.

Stream cover feeder:
The Stream Cover Feeder offers a large pre-pile volume for covers
and is especially applicable in case of very long runs and high
machine capacities.

Cleaning
and PUR Station:
The external preheat and cleaning
station for polyurethane gluing unit
accelerates the exchange of adhesive in the perfect binder. By
heating up the adhesive outside of the perfect binder, the optimum
working temperature is achieved prior to the change over of the
gluing mechanism and thus the set-up time between applications
is shortened. Mechanized cleaning with integrated
fume extraction minimizes emissions down to values
much below the legal minimum demands. - top
PLC-Control:
The PLC-control is fitted with a swivel-control panel and prepared
for electronic networking of machines and equipment (Profibus).
Main motor is a maintenance free frequency controlled three-phase
motor. Machine position and book recognition are program
controlled. With the command Ungluing unit changer
e.g., the machine runs automatically to the correct coupling position
of different gluing units for cold-glue, hotmelt or PUR. - top
Cover
Folder Feeder CFF:
In stand-alone mode a separate, removable delivery is fitted.
With in-line production using the Golf 6001, Master 6501, champion
m and champion e, the entire station is traversed motor-driven
for up to
1,8 m.
